so on Thursday I saw a doctor because I was getting Jeramy's cold which he had to go on anti-biotics for. Thus far I have avoided the 102 fever he ended up getting. But my face hurts so bad I can't even tell you. The doctor didn't think it was bacterial but said it could become bacterial very quickly so gave me a prescription for a zpac inc ase it got worse (I can't take penicillin of any kind as I am now allergic to it). Apparently, if I were 12 weeks or further it wouldn't be a huge deal to take anything, but since it's earlier I have to make a choice. I am in so much pain at this point and I don't know if it's bacterial. The doctor says that zpac doesn't often breech the blood-placenta barrier, but has been know to, but not often at all.

I would call the OB nurse, but she won't let me take ANYTHING. not even for allergies, last time I talked to her. She's just like sorry, nothing you can do. And I can't get a hold of the OB because he is so busy, I can't even make an appointment with them until after I move, so I've been told to just make an appointment when we get to Washington which doesn't really help me a lot.

I am at this point incredibly miserable about everything with this pregnancy. I am feeling really sick in general and have the worst back pain I have ever experienced. This cold that might or might not be bacterial on top of it doesn't help. Needing to blow my nose every five min isn't great, and the mucus is green, and at points bloody because of how much I have blown my nose.

Today, I am feeling that I am not the fittest, and maybe have not been ensured survival. Darwinism does not feel on my side.

Oh Heather, I'm sorry you're feeling so bad, and your nurse is being so dismissive (it sounds). Maybe try having some garlic - it's a natural antibiotic so worth trying.

*softhugs* I think it can only get better. And see the doctor again if it gets worse - it might be the best idea to take that medicine and take a risk to feel better (which surely must be best for the baby)

yeah, if I don't feel better by monday, I will take the anti-biotic, because at this point i'm feeling so craptastic and we are moving that I think it will be more of a benefit than a risk. also i have really bad allergies and if this gets much worse, I won't be able to breath at all because of the combination of the cold and the alergy and I do get asthma attacks :(

my doc said (in regards to my tooth infection and pain) that not taking something would be worse for the baby because of the stress (pain) and everything.
