I was in a car accident today. It was my fault, I rear ended the person in front of me because I couldn't see out the window which was dusty. I could see at first, but then I turned and was blinded by the sun. I feel like a moron. Joe has been so loving and supportive even though it was his car. He has been making sure i'm ok, and giving me hugs, and soothing my nerves with kind words. I am so blessed to have a friend and lover like Joe who can remind me when I'm feeling so freaked out or low that I am loved.

I am still shaken up. No one was hurt, but it has me super freaked out. I am thankfull both Joe and I have good insurnace so that it should not be a problme. I am also thank full that I am ok, and that all the people in the accident are ok, and that the little girl that was in the car seat of the car I rear ended is also ok. I think of all things, when I saw her, I was most worried and terrified, she is a little over a year old. Poor thing must have been scared, though she wasn't crying, she must be a trooper.

I just hope I don't have to go through anything like that again, even somthing that minor, it was scary and as I said, i'm stil spooked even after takeing 1200 mg of nurontin. It doesn't seem to be calming me down much, I am stil completely shaken and feeling freakd, but now just a little woozy/tired from the nurontin. ugh.

wow, was there serious damage?

while i'm an advocate of chemical usage, it's okay to feel edgy and spooked.

Likewise, sympathy and well-wishes...though I have to admit, I did the same thing...it was almost a year ago, now, and it was almost exactly the same situation, minus the little girl in the other car. I turned a corner and the person in front of me stopped for no reason. I wasn't paying enough attention, and didn't stop in time. No one was hurt, and my car was damaged more than the car I hit, but that didn't make it any less scary!

Take care of yourself, and keep an eye on your neck and back...even a minor accident can make you hurt for the next day or two.

I can sympathize as a similar thing happened to me. Although I didn't see the other car stop since I saw a police car off to my left side and was distracted. Thankfully in your case everyone was gracious. In my case the girl driving told the officer that I had nearly hit her at the previous stop light (which I hadn't) and that the car was new (which while used and technically new to her, it was covered in a heavy coat of dirt suggesting that she hadn't cared for it in months). The girl's insurance company was annoying as by CA state law if the damage is assesed to be under $450 it doesn't need reporting (it was $500 and I know it only takes $400 to repaint a 2 inch long chips in the bumper paint at a reputable repair shop).

She won't remember it, I bet. I was nearly run over by a train when I was older than that and don't remember a thing. No fears, either. Well, I do get a little nervous about the gap between the train and the platform . . . but that's how it happened, so it's understandable, I guess.
